shouldn't be too hard, i've got some mould making rubber knocking around. I'll have a look into it at some point if i get time.

Also, can you knock up a quick list of insignia needed for a 2 commando uniform? i've been trying to find references on the 'net with no luck.

I know i need the dagger (withough the 'SS' and 'commando' bits) for the cap badge, but even though it was discouraged, i was going to badge up a BD blouse to make it look like i've made an effort!

oh, and what colour beret?

If its for a one off and you have a few bob get a set of Denims from replicatore.

If that is too much 47 pattern BD, I know warren has some, and you should be of unless you are realy big.

You dont wear any insignia on a denison

Only rank

and if jump qualified parawings on the sleeve, breast if sas.

Some troops on the merville assault wore recognition patches painted on the breast pocket but its incredibly rare

the cap badge... I've seen three types for No2.

- just the dagger
- dagger + "S S"
- dagger + "S S" and "commando"

The difference?

not sure about difference between the two with SS on, but just the dagger was for EM, and the ones with SS on were for officers, from what i've found out so far.

Now if only we can find someone who can cast up some rubber sykesfairbairne knives....

Have been looking at this for a while .....

Best/easiest I could come up with was buying a 'normal' rubber training knife for cheap (ebay again  ) - not the fake shiny ones but matt black rubber - and trimming it down to shape.
Then get black twine/thin para-type cord and wind around the grip.
If the pommel doesn't look right, a bolt/knob etc can always be screwed into the top of the grip ....
